The program makes the list of programs "drop out" just like it did in Windows XP. You can also organize programs in "virtual groups". Groups can be "folded" to make finding and launching programs easier.
Since this menu doesn't update the list of recently used programs it would be nice to be able to drag a shortcut to the desktop or a toolbar for programs used frequently. There is no way of doing this unless you quit the program first.
Is there a way of increasing the character width of menu columns. When you open a folder it would be nice to see the full program name, it appears if the program name is bigger than the column width you don’t see the full name. This is a problem...
Some minor errors on a single screen display, multiple errors (including a looping confirmation message when using dual displays (extending desktop across two displays).
I enjoy your menu and have set it up just the way I want it. I have one problem, however, and that is the Category Other. I really don't want it and it contains everything I just finished putting in their correct categories. How can I delete...
I was using SM previous version and to me it was solving the sole purpose of "Easily Acess whatver you want from your desktop". I think we should appreciate the efforts and whatever minor bugs we see should be reported in time (before November)....
- and you will have no problem sorting your folders - folders are just a 'right' click away. Remember XP and how to use it - thanx - it looks interesting - I'll work with it for a while.
I like the program overall with a few minor reservations about display aesthetics and some features like drag-and-drop and right click not working but the biggest thing I would like to see changed is for the standard recent programs list to update...
I tried to follow the instructions in my email for purchasing the pro version but right-clicking anywhere in the menu did not open the manage group function. I clicked on the gear symbol and then manage groups. The instructions said to add a group...
Currently when you click Start, the Power Button action always defaults to "Shut down". In the original Windows7 properties, you can change it to Switch user, Log off, Lock, Restart, Sleep.
I am using the Vista System with Winstep Xtreme + Nexus, they working together.
My question is easy. Can yours "3rd man" working together, with yours software? That should be one awsome sight, for sour eyes! RSVP? Yes.., please!
1. Use the current Vista / 7 fonts / theme layout
2. Allow drag and drop reorganisation
3. Allow deletion of entries from the start menu using right click (context menu)
Actually, having used Start Menu XP Pro for a few minutes, points 2 and...
I can't completely turn off groups.
An option to turn off groups without reinstalling is needed.
Another needed option is custom color.
Otherwise nice app :)
Keep up your good work!
I'm running Windows 7 - I have to use "Vista Start Menu" because you don't produce "Win 7 Start Menu." I decide to support you by going for the Pro version, hoping you might be encouraged to release a Win 7 Version. Now you encourage me to try...
